Dr. Jordanna Nash, C.Psych.

Unfortunately, I do not currently have availability to see new clients.

I work individually with adults from a client-centred perspective, emphasizing openness and collaboration with my clients. I strongly believe in the importance of fit between therapist and client and seek to provide a warm, non-judgmental, trusting environment where clients feel comfortable sharing their stories. I aim to help clients increase positive coping to manage current challenges, as well as to experience and express their emotional pain within the context of a safe, supportive therapeutic relationship. Therapy is integrative and tailored to each client’s needs. I work primarily from an emotion-focused approach, using techniques from experiential, interpersonal, mindfulness, and cognitive-behavioural approaches as needed.

I often work with people who have experienced trauma and who may be struggling with symptoms of PTSD, complex PTSD, and dissociation. When trauma is a focus of therapeutic work, whether from childhood abuse or other traumatic life events, I help clients to explore traumatic experiences in an appropriately-paced, trauma-informed manner. I also work with those who are experiencing symptoms of depression, anxiety, disordered eating, and self-harm. I believe that relationships are central in our lives and also help those working through problematic experiences in their family of origin, with grief, and with relationship challenges.

I am a psychologist registered with the College of Psychologists of Ontario.
